Tony Junker is a consulting architect and designer with Ueland Junker McCauley Nicholson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (www.ujmn.com).  A founding Partner in the firm, Junker holds degrees in both architecture and planning.  He has served on the faculty of several colleges and universities, including the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, North Carolina State University, and Moore College of Art.  He is an award-winning architect, planner and exhibit designer with over 35 years professional experience. 
 
Junker’s work in recent years has been mainly in buildings for education, museums, and exhibits.  Among the more prominent educational projects in which he played a major design role are the St. Augustine Center for the Liberal Arts and Sciences at Villanova University, the student center / bookstore at Franklin and Marshall University, St. Michael Hall at LaSalle College High School, the Fournier Wing at Mount St. Joseph Academy, and the dining commons at the Meadowbrook School, all in Pennsylvania.  In the museum area, his principal works include the Flynt Center of Early New England Life in Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts, the new wing at the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village in Dover, Delaware, and master plans for the Clinton Historical Museum Village in Clinton, New Jersey, the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the Greenwich Historical Society in Greenwich, Connecticut, the Biedenharn Museum in Monroe, Louisiana, the Museum of Chebeague Island on Chebeague Island, Maine, and the Georgetown Historical Society in Georgetown, Maine.  Exhibits in which he played a major role include “Reflections of Maine” and “Aomori: Bridges in Time” at the Maine State Museum in Augusta, Maine, the award winning Elihu Camper exhibit at the Delaware Agricultural Museum, and the “Museum Attic” in Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts.  He also has completed or contributed numerous interpretive plans and scripts for museum exhibits (see “Writing”).
